Can I apply an invite code retroactively — I already joined days ago?

As far as anyone has documented: no. The redeem option lives in Settings > Redeem token for the first 48 hours after you join, and then it's gone. This is the single most-asked unanswered question in the invite threads — "can this be retroactive? I already joined" — and nobody has produced a workaround, a support path, or a back door. If Meta adds one, I'll update this page the day it happens.

What actually happens when the 48-hour window expires?

The Redeem option disappears from Settings. Not grayed out — gone. The window counts from when your account joined, not from your device, so reinstalling the app or switching phones doesn't bring it back. There's no documented re-entry, no extension, no "I was traveling" exception. The screen's absence is the final word.

The Redeem option isn't showing — what's going on?

Run the checklist before anything else:

1. Are you still inside the first 48 hours after joining? After that, the option is gone — that's by design, not a bug.
2. Are you looking in the right place? App: Settings > Redeem token. Web: at muse.ai, Settings > General > Usage > Redeem invite code. It's not on the invite link page and it's not in the chat screen.
3. Is your account US-based and 18+? The invite program is US-only. Accounts outside that may never see the option at all.

If all three check out and it's still missing, you're in uncharted territory — there's no documented fix. (Genuinely: if that's you, I'd love to hear about it. That would be new information.)

The screen says my code is invalid / used up / already redeemed — what does each mean?

Three different errors, three different stories:

• "Invalid" most likely means a typo — or a code that was never real. Double-check every character. And never type a code into a third-party site; redemption happens inside the Muse app only.
• "Used up" means the code hit its redemption cap. Codes are reported to be limited to 20 uses each (some accounts show different caps in screenshots — the inviter's app screen is the source of truth). That code is spent; find another one.
• "Already redeemed" most likely means this account already used a code. The program appears to be one redemption per account — Meta hasn't spelled that out, but nothing anywhere suggests you can stack codes.

I opened someone's invite link but never typed in a code — did that count?

No. Opening a link does nothing on its own — it doesn't attach the code to your account, doesn't start a timer, doesn't reserve anything. The link is just a delivery mechanism for the code. Only a confirmed redemption, typed or pasted into Settings inside the 48-hour window, counts.

I switched phones / reinstalled the app — can I still redeem?

If you're still inside the 48-hour window, yes. Sign in on the new device, go to Settings, redeem like normal. The clock runs from when your account joined — a new phone doesn't pause it and doesn't reset it. If the window expired before you switched, the answer is the same as if you'd never switched: it's gone.

I redeemed — did the other person actually get their tokens?

On a confirmed redemption, both sides get 1 billion tokens — that's the documented mechanic of the program. You won't see their side of it, and there's no receipt you can check, but that's the deal as stated. (If the redemption itself was confirmed on your screen, the inviter's side follows.)
